The next series of images were taken on 4/17/07, I couldn't change the posting date:

President George Bush speaks with Virginia Tech President Charles Steger and Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum, the three discuss the events of the previous day over a campus map. Afterwards President Bush meets with Student Body President Adeel Kahn before entering Cassell Coliseum to a crowd which overflowed into the neighboring Lane Football Stadium.

Each morning the Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets raise the flag while reveille is played on the bugle. Today's ceremony was different, the flag was only raised up to half mast. Afterwards an impromptu prayer circle was formed by the nearly 660 Cadets. One memebr of the Cadets was lost the day before.

Pilot Street Project.
A cramped two bedroom apartment houses the Roanoke based learning center which helps East African political refugees learn english. The twice weekly classes are free for residents of the Maple Grove Apartments where the Pilot Street Project is located.
Students from Virginia Tech volunteer their time to help at the learning center. Tech pays for the transportation of the volunteers, the costs of learning materials, and rent for the two bedroom learning facility.

I LOVE ROBOTS........
I was like a kid in a candy store at this shoot.
Robots are so cool, this one plays soccer.
I think I'm gunna give up this whole photo thing and get into Mechanical Engineering so I can build robots all day. Since were on the subject of robots, the funniest thing I've ever seen was a Conan O'Brian skit where a 50's style robot walks onto the stage. Sits down on a toilet and then you hear the sounds of nuts and bolts being thrown into a coffee can. Cuz how else would it sound if a robot went to the bathroom. P.S. none of the ME students thought it was funny either, I guess I'm the only one....
